I say X DRIVE. But, I mean any drive letter you choose. In other words, if you have 2 hard drives (C & D) and you also have a CD-Rom drive (E), with webdrive you would make a virtual drive letter. So, for example, the drive letter might be drive F. When you put stuff on drive F you're really uploading to a host computer, not locally to your own system or hard drives. To you, it looks as though its a local drive on your computer. Its just to make transfer very easy. ---Troth ----- Original Message ----- From: poppy0206 To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, September 01, 2003 2:22 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Webdrive I did not know there was an X drive. So they will not be able to get anything off my computer? Confused about that. But I can upload to their computer? christine ----- Original Message ----- From: "~OoO~" <SirTroth@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, September 01, 2003 10:06 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Webdrive > Don't have it, so can't really answer any questions on it. But, basically, its an FTP client that maps a drive letter on your drive to the server... so that, for example, your X drive would be a drive on the server, but to you it works like its part of your system. > ---Troth > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: poppy0206 > To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Sent: Sunday, August 31, 2003 9:35 PM > Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Webdrive > > > HI again, > > Is anyone here very familiar with Webdrive?
