Hi Sandi
I normally try to do these things myself too,but when my frustration level
gets so high...I usually call and say..send someone to do xyz...and they
do...worth the money to me
Is that an option for you?

Yes, and it just occurred to me that I may still have the wrong adapter as
the diagram shows it being plugged in to a laptop. It is a Kyocera made in
Taiwan and that is all the identifying info I have other than a serial
number too small to read. I have sent an e-mail to the home office asking
if this one will work on a desktop so hopefully-----
If not, I at least have a contact person who knows a little something and is
willing to find out if she does not.
