First of all, you need the new version to get the popup blocker feature. The original version doesn't have it. The new version also has a few more enhancements that I think are pretty good. If you blog, its also got something for that. I don't blog, therefore I can't critique that. For anyone asking, "What's blogging?"... see here: http://www.blogger.com/about.pyra When you install the toolbar, it asks if you want to install ADVANCED FEATURES, and doing so will enable some tracking or similar choice of words. To answer your question... NO, you do not need to install ADVANCED FEATURES. I've never selected to install the ADVANCED FEATURES, and have no idea what benefit you get doing so... but, no, no need for advanced features to use the popup blocker. Will it conflict with your current popup blocker? Don't know. But, the one that comes with the toolbar is so efficient, in my opinion, that you probably won't need another. But, in either case, you can easily disable the Google one if it does conflict. Just try it. But, disable the one you already have to see if you like the Google one. Regarding the disappearing toolbar on top... never happened to me. I would suspect you have something resetting your IE toolbar. ---Troth At 9/26/2003 05:55 PM, cris wrote: >do you need to register this one to get those features? or choose tracking or >whatever it was? the one I have, I had a choice of doing something or not >- for >different features.
