Thank you Dave, that is very interesting.  I paid $150 for the Nortons
System Works, I did not expect to get problems with it .  I was running
Speed Disk when it caused the problem, just shut the computer down and I
could not do anything but use the Recovery Disk, which put the computer back
to the day I bought it .  Rang Nortons and they said that sometimes a virus
will override Nortons.   I will look around down here and see if I can find
Panda. I am from Sydney , have not seen it on the shelves in shops down
here.  Thanks for the info.  Lionel.
