mine is what my son set them to be - A is probably always floppy C is the main hard drive. then I have other partitions to my hard drive - so they are F, G, & H then my D and E (burner) are my cd drives. one is cd burner. Now - if I look at my computer, it says I have I, as my DVD drive. But in reality, my dvd drive is my D drive or regular cd drive. Not sure why it is listed that way. I am not sure , but to me it seems like computers vary a bit by brand name . On mine it is A for Floppy----- C for Hard Drive (HDD) . ----- R for normal Compact Disc Drive.--- Q for internal Burner drive. ----E for external Zip Drive. The external Burner is Compact Disc D. . I also have A (floppy), C, D and E. My D drive is the DVD drive and E is the CD drive (burner). My dealer told me to use the DVD for running CDs also and to save the CD drive (E) just for burning CDs. Beverly kg6ocz wrote: >Q drive?....what did I miss here? i have A, D, E, drives..Floppy.
