Thank you I will export (just to be on safe side) and then do 
the overinstall.

Yes... WILL install over the old one. You will not lose the 
favorites.

But, you can easily backup the favorites by going to BOOKMARKS > 
MANAG BOOKMARKS. Then go to FILE > EXPORT and save it somewhere. 
You can later, if necessary, IMPORT the same way.
