the way I have my fax/dsl set up is, I have a one of those plugins that
takes 8 phone connections and the THAT plugs into the converter for the
dsl.. the converter for the dsl is ONLY thing that plugs into the outlet.
The fax is just another piece of equipment on your phone line. like adding
another phone. I have a fax in my all in one printer. You just plug in the
phone line and go for it. I pay for my phone service and that includes
whatever else is on the phone line. Unless your phone co works differently
than mine, you should just be able to plug in the fax the same as an extra
phone.

Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Fax info?

Despite having a PC for 2 decades, I know absolutely nothing about home
faxes as I've never had one. However Staples has one on sale now for $19,
and I'm considering getting it.

Questions:
How does fax work with basic DSL ISP service.........
1-Do you put its phone wire connection on the line before or after the DSL
line converter? 2-And will just a simple one-into-two splitter connection
work?
3-Do you have to pay extra for fax service on your DSL line, or is it just
considered another PC up or download?

Thanks,
greywoulf
