Does brand matter? I would say in general YES. But, with thumb drives =
the brand reliability usually determines the quality of the actual =
housing. Cheaper brands usually are made of cheaper material. Not always =
the case, but often the case. If you plan on being extra careful with =
the thumbdrive, go with the cheapest you can find... ignore the brand. I =
personally treat ALL computer equipment like they're my children. Its an =
obsession. Friends and family are actually bothered by how I handle a =
simple CD. You'd never see even knick the data side. For this reason, =
'cheaply made' does not bother me. Go cheap unless you're always droping =
stuff or are careless with your gadgets.
