Thanks, I did not even look at any specs, just saw the extra 256mb of ram. 
Heck I found a old Stealth II 32mb video card in my closet :)

You said your resolution is set at 1600x900, how did you select this 
setting? Seems like a custom setting or your video card allowed it? I have 
1600x1200 currently, no setting for 1600x900 to test.

Also, in my ATI catalyst control center under Color I have gama turned off 
or all the way to the left set at 0.5 and brightness turned off or all the 
way to the left set at -100 and Contrast set right at the middle at 100. You 
said let your eyes be the judge, but is it normal to have gama and 
brightness turned off? It is so white with any gama and with little 
brightness.

P.S Need a screenshot or if you do not use ATI guess it would be of no help.
