System: Windows Millennium Up to date with the latest MS Fixes. My Palm Pilot software would not open due to a registry error. So I removed the software with Add/Remove Pro and attempted to reinstall.. The Installation program gets to a certain point and comes up with this error.. Error 1402, could not open key: HKEY_Current_USER\SOFTWARE\U.S.ROBOTICS\PILOTDESKTOP\ALARMCOMPONENT0 Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel. I restored the registry from a previous save but the error remained the same. Appreciate any suggestions..
