21:25 JOYCE THACKER Head of Rotherham's social service department has been
signed off LONG-TERM SICK and 'ON FULL PAY' in the wake or repeated calls for
her to stand down following the town's mass child abuse scandal.
This comes nine days after she attended the Commons Home Affairs Committee.
The Chairman of The Committee Keith Vaz has described this as 'A FUDGE".
He said: 'Joyce Thacker seemed to be in perfect health when she appeared
before the Home Affairs Committee nine days ago.
'Ms Thacker should take note of the other resignations and follow suit, and if
she does not, then Rotherham Council should make the decision for her.'
