Well, what we expected will be happening. The cancer is in places that are
inoperable. They told her radiation, will only prolong the inevitable. Time
expectancy is three months without radiation and six months with radiation.
So, Karen has chosen not to have the radiation treatments. She said her
mother, father and sister all died from cancer. So, she wants to live out her
days in peace. She’s tired, weak, and has already arranged her final plans
with her daughter and sons. So, that’s her decision, and Duane and I will just
have to save and go to Michigan, hopefully before her end occurs. I told her
we would still pray. You never know when God will provide a miracle.

I received a phone call from my brother Tony earlier. Tony’s girl friend
has, for the past couple of weeks
had dizzy spells. Today, she prepared a roast dinner in the slow cooker.
Tony said
she almost fell, and if the wall wouldn’t have been there to catch her, she
would
have. They agreed at that point that she should go to the hospital. So, he
cleared
the walkway from the snow, and called Dave, his step son to drive Karen.
They did
a CT scan and found two cancerous tumors. One is on her left frontal lobe,
and the
second one is in her right temporal lobe. So, Tony talked them into keeping
her
for the night. The oncologist she had before will be there in morning, to
discuss
her options. Now, she has said in the past and today, that she will not do
chemo.
They told her there she wouldn’t do chemo, and that either surgery or
radiation would
be her options. So, we’ll know more tomorrow. Please pray and send positive
thoughts
to Tony and Karen and add her back on any prayer lists you know of.
