I was just looking at this Ignite tool and it's not clear from the info on
their website - does it also do monitoring and email/pager alerts for things
like alert log errors, blocking locks, full tablespaces, etc. or is it just for
performance analysis?
Anyone else have recommendations for a good monitoring/alerting tool that does
the other things I've mentioned? We're currently using a mix of DB Console, HP
OpenView and custom scripts, but it seems like there has to be something better
out there - I'm surprised there isn't an opensource alternative - I take that
back, just did a search and found there are a few - anyone have experience and
comments on these or any others?
