monitoring tools

Hello,
I would like to know if there are any tools
out there, either home-grown, or 3rd party
that do the following.
- Store history of all SQL from the last 48 hours.
- Record any blocking locks that may have occurred
over the last 48 hours.
I'm starting to work with Grid Control, so it
may help me with these issues, but I would like
to see if there are other options.
