Morning,

I've tested postgres partitioning....it comes to conclusion that it will
perform well up to 1024 partitions per table.

I;ve tested more than 23k partitions per table, simple select with pk was
very slow.

Since this thread has morphed from Postgres reading books to articles
of progress issue, this link may be appropriate.
