I've tested postgres partitioning....it comes to conclusion that it will
perform well up to 1024 partitions per table.
I;ve tested more than 23k partitions per table, simple select with pk was
very slow.

There are many contributors: individuals and companies, other than
EnterpriseDB, besides community version is being used much wider than
EnterpriseDB.
All-in-all, PG has its place and usage, not "every nail needs a huge
hammer" like Oracle.
