Wow! Thanks for that pointer, we've currently got our main application
in QA for 10gR2 (10.2.0.2). Will have to check if I can reproduce it
first thing in the morning.

For the folks without Metalink at hand, bug 5415881 is a generic
platform bug, severity 2 where results are returned in the wrong order
when "order by <column> desc" is used with a where clause. To top it
off Metalink states it's fixed in version 11.1.0.0!!!
