Goodluck From: mail2priyank@xxxxxxxxx Date: Tue, 21 Jul 2009 11:13:01 +0100 Subject: Oracle 11i Email Issue To: ora-apps-dba@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Hi Guys, I have 2 issues surrounding Workflow and Emails in 11i: First I have this strange problem wherein our Email notifications are somehow landing in junk folders of customers' email accounts. They are blaming it on the strange Oracle email id (<apps_user>@company-domain), that we have setup on Oracle Workflow and exchange server. The sales team want an email id that would look like salesforce@company-domain, so that it doesn't look like a junk mail, but the problem is that the same email cannot be used in Purchasing and Order management. Is there a way to change the "From Email ID", depending on the product it is originating from? I don't think changing all the workflows is a good idea (lots of effort). Second The second issue is when a customer wishes to reply to an oracle notification (ideally they should not), it will come to the Oracle's exchange account, so I have put in place an auto-forward rule on exchange to forward such emails to a mailing list for the sister company that is using Oracle. The problem is that our main company is going live soon and we can't use this setup anymore as its difficult to filter these replies and forward to respective companies. I reckon this could be a common issues with most implementations? Any ideas are welcome. Cheers, Priyank. _________________________________________________________________ MSN Quiz The clash is on to find the best brains.
