Yes and if you're looking for something and have some idea of how to find it, 
an optacon will do it faster than a scanner. I have also found that when I 
can't read normal black and white print with an optacon, a sighted person has a 
hard time with it too. It's usually blurred or so light in print that a 
sighted person would only be able to read it if he had a good idea what it 
should 
say.
