I'd agree with Gail. Depending on print quality, fonts and level of interest, I can eaisly achieve 120 words per minute. I'd say an average speed of 100-120 is more likely. So much can govern a "test" that I would not put much store in it. I believe those who say they get speeds of up to 150-160. It is true I can read braille at twice that speed, but the Optacon gives me the access immediately and without the hassle of a computer.
