[optacon-l] Re: Reading Bank Statements

Bob, I don't know whether or not this would help, but there are some banks such 
as the one I bank with which has a service that sends statements out in 
braille, though for the record, I've learned to read the print statements as 
well.  A few years ago, I needed to give Social Security some of my print 
statements and had to make sure I was giving them the right printed statements. 
 Also, you might see if your bank offers online banking as that would possibly 
be a way to get around all of this.  I know several blind people who much 
prefer online banking.  Haven't taken that step myself, but it is certainly an 
option.
