Catherine,

Unfortunately, we did call, later, trying to find out what happened to them 
and the people there don't have any idea what we're talking about.  So, I'm 
afraid they're long gone.  It's terrible.

Cindy,
You might try calling again and saying that there is a donation program
for used and non-working Optacons initiated by the Optacon Users. Ask them
if they would care to get rid of the Optacons they have. Explain that it
is a private initiative. The machines are being forwraded first to
authorized repairers and then laced with those persons who still use
Optacons or who would like to learn to use them. It's worth a try.
