He was arrested for creating a public nuisance since he screwed up the grid. ~Merrill On 5/9/06, David Arocho <darocho@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > I am not sure how many of you are aware of the origin of the word "OpTaCo= n"; > it stands for Optical to Tactile Converter. > David > > -----Original Message----- > From: optacon-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:optacon-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Eric Clegg > Sent: Tuesday, May 09, 2006 10:24 PM > To: optacon-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: Possible Sources For Optacon Corpses > > > Hi Listers, > I sent this message to Catherine privately then decided to post to the li= st > as well. > You might also want to contact someone at CTEVH here in California to see= if > they know of any school districts in this state that still may have Optac= ons > languishing. > There web site is: > www.ctevh.org > The acronym stands for California Transcribers and Educators of the Visua= lly > Handicapped. > I think at one time TSI was very active with school districts out here. > Another possible source of corpses might be the university special educat= ion > programs that train future teachers of the blind.
