One MAJOR difference John. Broadcasters give their product away in a 
market via the OTA signal, but they typically charge the "other" 85% 
of the people in that market for that same product, when the viewer 
decides to pay for a multi-channel TV service.

Think of it as being able to grab a copy of the VV for free on one 
corner, but you have to pay for it at the news stand on the opposite 
corner that offers hundreds of magazines and newspapers.
