Oh, there's another pice to this broadband radio/TV distribution to consider. Mobility. With broadcast, terrestrial or satellite, you can credibly achieve reception, of whatever selection the broadcaster offers, just about anywhere you go. With broadband, you would be dependent not just on the underlying cabled network, but also on cellular RF service. My sense is radio via broadcast will continue to exist for quite some time, for this reason.
