For what it's worth, the LG prototype that worked fine was housed in a
tiny STB, and the LG people said they had just swapped chips with the
4th-generation.
Also, for what it's worth, the one that failed had such poor performance
that I suspect something was amiss.
Finally, for what it's worth, although I saw plug-&-play COFDM indoor
reception in Baltimore in the Sinclair tests (it worked even
UNplug-&-play; simply touching the antenna lead brought in stable
pictures), it might be worth noting that no one has yet demonstrated
COFDM reception in my apartment.
Still, it certainly is interesting that no one has yet come out with a
working LG-5th-generation STB.
