Talking to an LTE rep about broadband today. LTE is all about video he
said. Third time I have heard similar statements recently in print and
conversation. He said he was driving home the other day wishing he
could be watching the Masters on TV instead of just listening to it.
Guess someone else would be actually driving. The Telcos are coming to
mobile broadband and it is not going to be just a phone business
anymore. I can see a Disney like allocation of bandwidth to deliver,
broadcast that is, lots of video content to terabyte storage in very
small devices. Devices that can be used as they are or attached to any
number of larger display devices for viewing mobile or fixed. OFDM
based LTE.

Was reading in some broadcast publication the other day a description
by a broadcaster about how incredible their ENG mobile equipment
worked both to receive and broadcast back to the studio with a simple
omni antenna. He opinioned that it was all due to the magic of COFDM.
