If CAT5/6 wires is one of the attraction of using HDMI the CAT5 to HDMI
converter on receiving end can be made to generate copy protection with any
type of content.

HD-SDI in most uses I encounter; HDMI only for some monitors built into
locations.

The biggest problem I've encountered with HDMI has been content protection.
Even with unprotected content, some HDMI displays seem to want to see
content protection.

I would like to take a pulse on using HDMI for broadcast and production
applications. Is it happening? Will it happen in the future? Or HD-SDI is
most preferred format?
