There was at least one female-plumaged Lapland Longspur again today, seen separately by Chuck Philo and myself. I have a suspicion there are actually 2 birds differing a bit in plumage. I'll examine my photos tonight and see if I can verify that. Lots of Savannah Sparrows, showing the usual spring variation in appearance - pale ones, contrasty ones, grayish ones, brownish ones, ones with little facial yellow, ones with lots of yellow, etc. One Whimbrel, no geese. I guess the White-fronts are staying farther inland today. Wayne
