This afternoon I got a new bird for my "non-hummingbird seen drinking from a hummingbird feeder list." At Portland Audubon a HAIRY WOODPECKER repeatedly was putting its bill into one of the holes. I looked closely and didn't see any bugs so think it really was drinking it. And shortly after I came across this lone feather lying on the ground in NW Portland: http://andyfrank.blogspot.com/. I can't figure out what bird it came from. I'd suspect Rock Pigeon, but they are very unusual in the area where I found the feather. Thanks, Andy Frank
