Hello folks, Oscar and I braved the heat and paid a short visit to Cabell Marsh at Finley NWR today. It was pretty slow overall, and there is no muddy shoreline in evidence yet to allow for any shorebird action. The number of AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS on the marsh has increased to 11 (from 4 a few days ago). Other birds of note were 2 immat. CALIFORNIA GULLS and a male PURPLE MARTIN.
