Dear OBOLites, The message below is forwarded at Bill’s request. This looks like an excellent presentation for those at or near the south coast, which by the way I enjoyed for the first time at the recent OBA meeting ☺ On Wed., Oct. 8, at 7 PM, Cape Arago Audubon Society will feature a presentation by South Coast resident Terry Wahl, on "The Integration of Ranching and Conservation". The Wahl family is in the sheep ranching business in Curry County and earned an award for small ranch conservation for their efforts to improve wildlife habitat on a working ranch. Wahl's presentation will include the photography of Lois Miller, highlighting bird species seen on the Wahl family ranch lands. Many of these birds are uncommon visitors to the coast of Oregon. Examples of Miller's stunning bird images may be seen at http://rarebirdarts.com<http://rarebirdarts.com/>. The program will begin in the Myrtlewood Room after a short annual business meeting of the membership, which starts at 6 PM. If you are so inclined, please bring a finger-food potluck item to share at 6 PM. ~Barbara Taylor, CAAS President Enjoy! M.
