Hi,

I don’t know that I like this merjer as I think that this list works best the
way it is. Why would you want or be expected to be a part of both lists just
for thouse of us who are interested in the windows insider list.

let me just expand on what i said.
i said there is no harm to merge, but merging with another list will also make
us more prone to risks of dramas and of topic chats.
so we can test on the merger for i think 15 days for which we will close this
list.
and if the test is successfull we stay with the merger or if its not
successfull we pullout

Hi,
It appears we are quite evenly split between three camps: those saying "yay"
to merge, others saying "nay", still others saying, "let's keep this
list as a backup". Let's wait a few more days to see what others think
(I understand Austin's position, which I concur with).
Cheers,
Joseph

i think as this list is working fine in terms of no drama and all.
i think we should not merge.
and even if we do merge we should not remove this list.
so if the merge fails we can falback to this list.
so till the time the merge is tested i think 15 days is good we should
not permit any traffic on the original win10 list.

Oh Robert don't even get me started on the Android list! I won't say
why I left on here, but yes a lot of the technical stuff is over my
head, but I like the list the way it is now.

Just my two cents worth: this list seems to have people on it who
are somewhat technical in nature, in regards to using computers,
which keeps the conversations intellectual in nature as well as void
of drama and moronic exchanges. If it remains how it is without a
huge spike in messages, I’m OK with it; however, if it becomes
anything like the Android list, which is full of useless chatter, or
any other general discussion list for that matter, then my vote would be no.

I don't know man. I really don't need to be appart of another email
list let alone a combined one. I say no.

Hi Joseph, I think it's a good idea, and would still be a part of
any list for users of windows 10 and NVDA. thanks. Faith

Hi all,

Due to a recent incident involving the owner of another
Windows 10 list and with the owner possibly removing himself
from the WinTen list on Groups.IO, it felt best to ask
Groups.IO if there would be a change of ownership. If this
happens (me becoming the owner of the Windows 10 for the
blind), I’d like to propose that we merge with the Grups.IO
list over there.

Some of the advantages of this move include:

·Setting up subgroups (or focus groups): We can have a focus
group for NVDA users using Windows 10 (note that you must be a
member of the master list to join the focus group).

·Another focus group could be set up for those running Windows
Insider builds.

·By centralizing WinTen discussions, a potential user don’t
have to dig through various mailing lists to find answers to
his or her questions.

I’d like to receive comments regarding this proposal, and if
you say yes, when we should merge so I can send out a notice
saying this list will be closed. Thanks (please ask me offlist
as to the background of this merger proposal).

Cheers,

Joseph
