It looks like this was specific to SPL, at least as far as server failures go.
SPL is now fixed and I've forced a manual sync.

I haven't seen any sync errors here apart from stationPlaylist. It does look
like something odd is going on there. It sounds like you're suggesting there
are more add-ons than this with problems, though. Can you give me names of
add-ons that have pending messages that haven't been synced?
