Hi all,

I just saw this idea for a cheap and light screen.

Just ideal for blocking out neigbour's lights and breezes.

Lightweight plumber's pipe and a cheap couple
of tarps from the junk shop. I think it's a project.

Light dazzle is one of my bugbears at home.

Cheers, Paul.

I’ve been watching that mass and it does look like it is slowly heading our way.
I think we’re just going to have to except a wet summer.

Thanks Rob, the moon dates including full are here:

The lookout above town would be a good place to fly the plane.

I just hope that mass of cloud near Fraser island stays there.
If a low develops and comes our way there could be a
January flood. Cheers, Paul.

That worked!

Yup! as usual it isn’t looking too promising for observing. what date is the next full moon?

I’ve taken up Radio Controlled aircraft and have just brought my first two birds a Radian
and Radian Pro. Using the Radian as a trainer and keeping the Pro in the cupboard until
I’m confident enough to fly it. The Radian has throttle, rudder and elevators where as
the Pro has throttle, rudder, elevators, ailerons and flaps so it is a bit more hands on. Still
it isn’t a hobby you can do in the rain or windy conditions but if just cloudy no problem.

Hi Rob,

Just a test message to see how it's going.

The forecasts don't sound good for observing.

Need a reserve hobby when things astronomical get too soggy.

Cheers, Paul.

Hi Paul,

Your messages from your cityprint account were coming to me first for approval which can
create a delay. I’ve just realised your posts were not set to pre-approve, something I must
of forgot when we re-registered you a while back. Sorry about that should be working now
so if you try sending a test message just to confirm it working how it should.

Cheers,CS

Hi Rob and all,

I did reply to this from work but it seems to have
disappeared.

We will be in Sydney for Christmas with family from early
Thursday morning until about New Year's Eve.

Apart from my birthday on Jan 7 (60th - yahoo!!) a
get together sounds great. Back at work on Jan 10.

Moon dates for 2011 are here:
http://museumvictoria.com.au/planetarium/discoverycentre/moon-phases/moon-phases-2011/
so around the 4th or so sounds good.

I suppose it all depends on the antics of that
Spanish witch La Nina ... here's hoping.

Everyone have a great Christmas season and KEEP SAFE!!!

Cheers, Paul.

I can’t believe how lucky we are!!! Why hell! we just love rainy new moons
and beautiful clear full moons. I mean as an amateur astronomer it doesn’t
get better than that eh’

And who brought winter back…. it’s freezing up here on the range this morning

Cheers,CS
Rob

PS: Anyone up for a get together next new moon whenever that is I don’t have
my Aussie Astro 2011 yet.
