In our highly connected world, vast amounts of information on individuals is collected - anything from credit card purchases, phone calls, financial information to web surfing habits. However, according to participants, technology can be a powerful tool to help protect privacy, as well as to erode it. For instance, technology can be utilized in order to restrict access to data and limit disclosure to those authorized to view it.
