Student's Web site hacked by al-Qaida

The article describes how Conrado Salas Cano, a graduate student at
Portland State University, was unwittingly hosting terrorist material on
his personal website. The information was from the 'Center for Islamic
Research and Studies' - a known al Qaeda mouthpiece - and took credit for
terrorist attacks. The group's permanent website, www.alneda.com, is no
longer in use, but terrorist propaganda has reappeared on other sites in
recent months, often by breaking into web hosting systems. Al Qaeda and
other terrorist groups are well-versed in Internet technologies and use the
web to communicate, recruit new members, spread propaganda, and plan attacks.
