APEC Cyber Academy, the online learning environment, was built by APEC
Cyber School Team, National Tainan Teacher College in Taiwan in 2002. In
the project, K-12 school students in APEC member economies actively took
part in the activities, cooperatively accomplished the assignments with
their teammates, and enthusiastically communicated with their distant
learning partners. The winners of APEC 2002 Networked Collaborative
Learning Project Contest also received the honors and prizes in the APEC
2003 eLearning Summit on March 25, 2003 in Tainan, Taiwan
(http://linc.hinet.net/apec/summit2003).

In 2003, APEC Cyber Academy will continue the goal of culture/learning
exchange, and be devoted to create a more interesting, safe, and
easy-to-access online learning environment. APEC 2003 Networked Learning
Project is composed of eight collaborative learning programs and APEC
Journalistic Kids Contest. The programs will be initiated on October 6 and
wrapped up on December 7, 2003. All K-12 students are welcome to apply for
