Drag the icon from the dock. It is an alias to the original app. The
original app - the first installation - still exists. You have to
delete that first installation. Find it and drag it to the trash.
Find your updated new version of Skype. Click on that to open it.
It will appear in your Dock. Option click on the Skype Dock icon to
get the popup menu, and click on "Keep in Dock"
It is a good idea to keep all your apps in your Application Folder.
