[muglo] drive not reading discs

When I insert software discs into the drive, it does not show up on
my desktop. To trouble-shoot, I took it out and put a music CD in
with the same results. Usually, there is a high-pitched whirring
sound when I push the tray back in but I hear nothing. Is there a
quick fix here?
