;-) It ain't pretty but it has a number of frequently accessed links
on there and allows me to experiment with different code snippets that
I steal from the web.

http://www.google.ca or http://www.google.com is my alternate
favourite b/c it's so small, OR, in newer browsers I set a "blank"
page and simply use the toolbar's search feature.

Let's see how long that holds true :). I recently tried MSN's beta
search page and found that it did a slightly better job than Google of
indexing the obscure sites I was scouring for information (I use the
site:URLname flag quite frequently nowadays when I know what site I'd
like to find something on). But, it's still MS and I can't abide by
having the MS logo on the screen. www.Search4Science.com was another
favourite of mine until they shut down -- still hoping they'll come
back on-line someday :(

Eric.
