Diane,

That's they way you do things on a Mac. Seriously, sounds harsh I know =
but
that's the way it works.

HA! Love the way you delicately provide instructions, Hal!<lol>

Kathy...

Here are a few more details:

It was simply a matter of trashing the "Word Settings (9)" file from the
Microsoft Preferences folder. It automatically regenerated when the =3D
program started up and now it's back.

Subject: [mso] pull down menus that don't pull down

Hey all,

I'm using Word 2000 on a Mac. On a relatively regular basis (quarterly?
definately when I'm on a deadline) My pull down menus decide they don't
want to pull down. I usually jury-rigg it by adding the commands I need =
=3D
to my tool bars, but I know there's a way to fix it (I just forget =
between
problems!).

Can any of you all remember what I'm supposed to do? I tried throwing =
=3D
away the normal template, however, I admit that I didn't empty the =
trash.

I know the answer is simple and involves doing something like throwing =
=3D
away a thing and the result is that the next time Word starts up it =
thinks
it =3D is the first start up and it situates itself the way it wants to =
be.

Thanks,

Kathie
