A good way to see where you are in a document is to turn on the
markings. Click the little paragraph symbol on the tool bar. Where ever
there is a space or paragraph mark, you can put text to the left.
Paragraph marks contain formatting and until you get used to how they
work, you might get some unexpected results if you delete them. /g

Right, Beth. Until you put something in that part of your document, it
doesn't exist...so, unless you hit your enter key a lot of times to
create blank lines...or you insert a page break or something, Word won't
let you paste outside of the document's limits

The last place where you put something (even a space) is what Word
considers the end of the document

Subject: [mso] pasting a new paragraph

Hi Linda and group,

I have a question about cutting and pasting a sentence or paragraph.
Can I

cut a sentence for example from the beginning of my document and place
on

another part of my document - that I haven't typed in or used yet? I
seem to be

having trouble pasting in a new area - my paste always wants to go where
I have

been working in the document and I don't know why.....sorry for being so

simple - but its the little things that get me - ya know?

Thank you in advance. Beth
