Right, Beth. Until you put something in that part of your document, it
doesn't exist...so, unless you hit your enter key a lot of times to create
blank lines...or you insert a page break or something, Word won't let you
paste outside of the document's limits
The last place where you put something (even a space) is what Word considers
the end of the document

Hi Linda and group,
I have a question about cutting and pasting a sentence or paragraph. Can I
cut a sentence for example from the beginning of my document and place on
another part of my document - that I haven't typed in or used yet? I seem
to be
having trouble pasting in a new area - my paste always wants to go where I
have
been working in the document and I don't know why.....sorry for being so
simple - but its the little things that get me - ya know?
