I don't know if this will work with your situation Linda, but this is =
=3D how
I did the transfer:

1. Copy your 'old' PST file to the new computer - but choose anywhere =
=3D you
like.
2. Create a new profile in OL2003, and open the old PST in that profile.

If you still have problems, I would create a fresh profile and IMPORT =
=3D from
your old PST file. I know this looses some stuff like rules, but... =3D =
This
is beta software... ;-)

Incidentally, the Refresh of beta 2 is just out (or will be when they =
=3D fix
the overloaded d/l servers!), which is supposed to fix heaps of these =
=3D kind
of issues...

One more point: While this is not proven as such, I found creating a new
profile and new PST file AND choosing for that new PST file to be the =
=3D new
Unicode format, proved to be less problematic. But that may just be my
experience...

Regards

     :
:OK...I just got a new computer and I have installed the=3D20
     :beta of Office 2003
:on it....and I wanted to move all my Outlook 2002 mail=3D20
     :and folders from my
:old machine to my new machine so I could use them in=3D20
     :Outlook 2003...so this
     :is what I did:
     :
:I copied my outlook.pst file from Outlook 2002 to a=3D20
     :shared folder, then I
:copied it from there (over my network) to my new computer=3D20
     :and put it in the
:default location for my outlook.pst file...I deleted the=3D20
     :outlook.pst that
:was installed with Outlook 2003 and replaced it with my=3D20
     :Outlook 2002 pst
     :file....now, when I open Outlook 2003, I have all my=3D20
     :stuff THREE TIMES...I
:have a main folder called "Linda" (not called Outlook=3D20
     :Today-[Linda] like it
:is called in Outlook 2002), then I have another folder=3D20
     :called Linda which
:includes ALL of the same stuff....then I have a third=3D20
     :folder called Personal
:Folders which also includes ALL of the same=3D20
     :stuff.....when I go into the
:properties of these folders, they are all the same pst=3D20
     :file, but it is
:showing three times...."close" is grayed out on all of=3D20
     :them so I can't get
:rid of them....now, I would know how to fix this if it=3D20
     :was three individual
:pst files, but it's not...it's one pst file showing three times! =
=3D20
     :
:Is there anyway I can fix this? I've tried deleting the=3D20
     :pst file and
:bringing it in again and I still get three....is anyone=3D20
     :else in here running
:Outlook 2003 and can you tell me how I can correctly get=3D20
     :my Outlook 2002 pst
:file into Outlook 2003 without all this duplication?=3D20
