I think I may have figured out why I was having a problem. I was opening the template in Compatibility Mode. Once I saved it in the Default mode, all the "hidden" formatting showed up. I can now see the header and footer information, which was primarily what I was after. Once I take care of the business at hand, I will go back and study the information Dian sent me.
