Read this...it explains a lot about the basics of templates...

Normal.dot Template-Explained
http://pubs.logicalexpressions.com/Pub0009/LPMArticle.asp?ID=151

And for a little more info, check out this article...

Sharing Macros
http://pubs.logicalexpressions.com/Pub0009/LPMArticle.asp?ID=166

Granted...the second one is more about macros than templates, but because
you need to understand how to use macros within templates, there's info
about templates and how they work and hold info within...as well as an
animated gif that shows how to put custom toolbars in custom templates. MORE
than you'll need to know to start, but good overall info to give you a solid
understanding of how they work.

Subject: [mso] Word Template

I know nothing about templates created in Word, but I need to learn - soon.
I have a copy of a template, and I need to "look under the hood", so to
speak,
in order to view the coding/formatting of the document, but I don't know
how.

Is there a simple 1-2-3, do-this, do-that formula I can follow, or can
someone
point me to a really good tutorial?

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks.

Teresa
