Create a character style and add it to your template.
If you don't know how to do the above, let me know and I'll provide further
details. But you might want to check out this TechTrax article for some
additional info.

Subject: [mso] Word 2003: Apply Custom Color to Text
To All,
I have created a custom color for some text in a Word 2003 document. Is
there
any way to make that color an easy choice when I want to apply it to other
bits of text after applying black to intervening text? IOW, Help says I can
use the little icon that looks like the letter "A" on the Format toolbar to
apply the most recently used color, but I often want to apply the custom
color
after having used black for a while. I would like to avoid having to
re-define
the custom color every time I need it.
I suppose I could write a macro for this, but other Microsoft applications
remember several user-defined custom colors. Can Word 2003 remember custom
colors?
Thanks for the help.
