I don't use either Outlook 7 nor Internet Explorer, but a Google search brought up some suggestions for you: This one refers to Outlook with Firefox, not IE, but it's the same error and happened after switching browsers ... there's also a link in there for a registry fix: http://www.hanselman.com/blog/CommentView.aspx?guid=1e997e8b-fbc6-4803-b316- d25ec1a04b8e This one is similar ... it seems it's a problem with DDE and it needs to be turned off for certain extensions. Steps to follow are here: http://kb.ucla.edu/articles/outlook---general-failure-the-url-was I can't test this for you becuz I don't use the software you refer to, but I hope this helps. I have never had problems with a link working properly in Outlook messages until I switched my default browser back to IE. Now I get the following error message: General Failure. The URL was: <link appears here> Application not found. I have set IE as my default explorer, and it seems to work correctly everywhere but in Outlook. Does anyone have any ideas? Many thanks!
