Right, that's true. But in time you have to bend and I see it that way too. I realize that hardware is always going to improve and along with such improvement speed always improves, and along with that trend software is also going to improve by showing some features in a better way and with Word it is becoming more complex because of how others are using Word for different design and business requirements. And when I do buy a new version I never get the basic, standard version of anything always going for the version having the most features, not knowing if I may someday want those new features. And to keep up with those versions that people buy who immediately use the new sophisticated software you are involved because you come into trading, copying and sharing documents so there is an involving, progressive compatibility issue like you stated. So I accept that notion. Maybe my situation is unique. It may be a small software bug that developed and perhaps if I reinstalled Word to do a repair everything may be alright that way also. Unfortunately, becuz of this, my website is becoming a dinosaur and I'm able to help people with the newer versions less and less ... but I'm standing firm and staying with 2003 becuz I refuse to support Microsoft with these new versions that I don't see as real improvements over the older ones. ============================ I hear you. I tested 2007 and would never have moved if I had not found http://www.addintools.com/digital-river/menuoffice/default.htm James S.
